My name is Martin and I've been a DMB fan since late 2000, when a friend introducted me to Before These Crowded Streets for the first time. I instantly fell in love with the music and have been a fan ever since. I have been to 10 shows since becoming a fan (starting with the 12/10/02 show in Tampa, FL) and have been an avid collector of the band's live shows through online trading.
The name of this blog is a take-off of the band's first/second song, The Song That Jane Likes. For those of you who don't know, Jane is Dave's little sister. The Song That Jane Likes first appeared on the band's debut release, Remember 2 Things. It has since appeared on the live release, The Gorge, released in 2004 as well as the album, Tribe of Heaven, recorded by Dave Matthews and Mark Roebuck (who co-wrote the song) in 1989 but not released until 2005. Despite its relative lack of official exposure, the song is the band's 20th most played song with 348 performances.

Props for the blog and excellent access to music, saw them 3 times 4 days up here in NY, enjoy your second night, I hope you hear Kill the king, I feel it is by far the best new song of the summer, if he can decide on some lyrics, but song evolution is just as cool.
