The band just finished up their first show of the summer tour in St. Louis tonight. Old favorites Raven, JTR, and Proudest Monkey made their comebacks tonight.

Raven hasn't been played since 10/24/02 by Dave solo and 7/29/02 by the entire band. Proudest Monkey also hasn't been played by the entire band since 9/8/02 (though it was last played by Dave and Tim in 2003). After its comeback at JazzFest at the end of April, many were wondering if it was a one-time treat or if it would make it back into regular rotation. After tonight's performance, it's safe to say that the song has probably earned a spot in regular rotation for at least this tour. Also back from a one-year absence is Grace Is Gone.

Unheard of in recent times is a 17 song set the band put on tonight in addition to the special 3-song encore not seen since 2002. Sister, a song played by Dave during his mini-tour in the UK, will probably become the 1st encore song of choice for the tour. No other new songs debuted tonight but it is very possible that we will get a glimpse of what the band has been toying with in the studio before long.
