Joy Ride made its third showing of the tour tonight and Drive In, Drive Out made its tour debut with an unusual segue from Dancing Nancies. Sister was in the usual E1 spot with American Baby Intro > Two Step finishing up the two-night North Carolina stand.

Was at the show, must say the energy level was high on every song. I've never seen Dave scream like he did during ABI and then the nice segue into Two Step, which is hands down the best of three versions I've heard of Two Step so far and the best version I've heard period. Great Butch sholo, then a nice little new jam which Carter tore up and at the end Carter continued going nuts for several minutes, I've never seen anything like it. Should be a download available of this amazing rendition.

Wondering if Dave will ever introduce more lyrically to ABI. Great tune, very intense, but having the bulk of the vocals made up of Dave screaming does seem a little bit lacking. And given how people have said over the years that he couldn't do songs like Halloween on a regular basis due to the strain on his voice, I can't imagine that is any easier for him. Still an amazingly powerful song though.
