+ Robert Randolph on pedal steel

A night of segues, with 4 pairs of songs paired together, including an unusual You Might Die Trying > Two Step both of which featured Robert Randolph. I'm not sure if it's happened before, but Loving Wings was thankfully played without going into Where Are You Going. Shotgun has been in better rotation now, but we still haven't seen Kill The King in months. The band follows this show with a three-night stand at the legendary Gorge.

I'm disgusted that after I got stuck with having LW tacked onto WAYG for 3 shows in a row, the band evidently realized what a downer it is to play a really good song followed by a really bad one and changed things up, lol. Also a bummer that they've apparently dispensed with Kill the King, that was easily my favorite of the new songs. Seems like the rockingest tunes of the recent debuts (2004's Hello Again, KtK this year) have been quickly retired.

I agree Mark, Hello Again and Kill the King are 2 jammin tunes. I really warmed up to Cant Stop. I guess after 7 shows this summer it is already etched into my head. haha.. Lookin forward to hearing p monkey intro!!
